Jigjiga(Cakaaranews) Thursday 30th November 2017. Today, ESRS officials have warmly welcomed an international delegation at Garaad Wiil-Waal international airport of Jigjiga city. The delegation contained Ethio-Somali Diaspora and international investors who from Australia and New Zealand.
After welcoming, President H.E Abdi Mohamoud Omar received the delegation in his office. Firstly the president thanked the international delegation who’s aimed to invest the region. In addition to this the president deeply explained the general situation of the region, developmental changes encountered, natural resources bestowed, and also investment opportunities that exist in the region. Moreover, the president told to the delegation that the regional state is sincerely welcoming everyone who is ready to invest the region.
Finally, the delegation accompanied with regional higher officials visited Jigjiga University. During their visitation, university’s vice president Mr. Ilyas Omar reported the overall progress of the university, such as academic faculties and number of university’s students. Furthermore, the delegation visited Jigjiga University, Meles referral Hospital. They observed service delivery process and performances of the hospital besides that they appreciated the progress work of the hospital
